Greetings


We are so excited to roll this project out to you. It is a project motivated by love and fueled by OUR beautiful children on the Autism Spectrum. What we found was that there was not much autism information circulating within communities of color. As a result, Black/Latino children are diagnosed as many as 2 years later than other children. 

As the identity of Autism Spectrum became more reconizable, it became clear that if our children were to benefit from it, WE would have to stand and be noticed.We knew that we could no longer look outside for the more day to day questions and assistance we sought. We were the ones we were waiting for.

 The Mocha Autism Network will strive to provide for you what we call our 3A Strategic Mission:

Advocacy 

To Promote and help develop strategies/tools for parents and children. Parents/Children need to know not only who to ask, but what to ask for. 

Alliances

To provide networking opportunities for Parents and children that are working through the Autism Spectrum. This would provide much needed Fellowship, advice and a shoulder for Bay Area Residents 

Awareness

To help promote awareness of not only Autism Spectrum indicators but the assessment process, how an IEP is done, and the rights of  Parents/Students.
